Forbes has been teaching for the last 15 years and has been a small school principle. "I would let the students use art as a way of expressing themselves and their ideas".
I have always been interested in art, right from primary school. Having had over the last 15 years 2-3 accidental sucesses with several paintings, I have just decided to go full time for two reasons; one, to practice what Ive learned from art courses. To, to capitalise on my strenghts.
Getting a positive response from the public about my colours and the way they are applied, also about my individual style of building peraspective and applying paint.
I love The Quarry and the people working in it, the staff and volinteers, the knowledgable visitors and especially Bill Cohen. The energy that the studio holders and the young residents bering to the atmosphere is uplifting.
