What’s On
Below are the upcoming exhibitions, classes and events at the Quarry Art Centre.
Quarry Market Days
There will be a new Quarry Arts/Crafts market that will be held every 1st Sunday of every month starting from 6th July 2008 from 10am - 3pm. The cost will be $10 per stall for the first year. Some indoor space can be provided in the scallop room or Te Kowhai Print Trust. Email or phone us for further details or for Colleen de Rooy contact details.
***********ALERT***********
With the beginning of the unreliable winter weather the Quarry Craft Co-op shop has decided to call a temporary halt after our finale on 7 June, 10am - 3pm.
We expect to resume in October with the better weather. It is hoped to open up the wood kiln on this day, which together with the other activities planned (winter crafts, food and entertainment) will make a happy and interesting day out for the whole family.
Our Co-op looks forward to seeing you all there!

Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom
We warmly welcome all schools to come along and experience our learning experience classes.
These classes will complement and enrich classroom learning, through providing memorable, specific, hands-on, interactive experiences, within an authentic arts environment. By far our most popular workshop for kids of any age is:
“Play with Clay” With an experienced clay tutor students will make a hand built creation which will be fired in our kiln 2-3 weeks later. We can offer beginners or more advanced workshops in clay. There is also the opportunity for children to do a second workshop in glazing after the work has been fired.
Students can make a wide variety of clay creations including tiles, pinch pots, animals/ creatures and many more. We can tailor make a workshop to suit your needs. It is possible to arrange an experienced tutor in almost any artform – just give us a bit of warning to organise something out of the ordinary.
