We can also arrange clay and art classes for school groups which are tailored to suit your needs. We invite your educational institute to visit the Quarry Arts Centre or please contact us for more information or to discuss your requirements.

Starting Mon 10am - 1pm and Thursdays (trail dependant on numbers) 7-9pm

Beginners Clay with Akke Tiemersma
Starting Tue 2nd Feb 9.30 – 12.30 Running for 10 weeks
$80 for 30 hours. (A few of the end sessions will be spent Raku firing)
Buy your own clay – we have plenty to choose from in the office.
Life drawing self directed classes
Classes will be currently running Wednesday nights, 6-8pm from early Feb.
nightly fee $15 per session, paper, easel, drawing donkeys, model and boards supplied.
Just bring your own drawing utensis.
Fire Skills workshop
Starting Feb, dates and times to be advised. (Above date not correct)
We are looking at hosting a Fire skills workshop for the first time at the Quarry through Circus Kumarani. Students will learn how to do fire poi’s, staff and juggling. Upon completion of the course we will put on a few performances to show of our new skills.
Staring first week of term one in 2010, one night a week for 8 weeks
$160/per person –everything included (this price can be drastically reduced if we are able to get Adult Community Education funding. We can only do this if plenty of people enroll so get in quick).

Kre8Hope Stepping Stones to Art at the Quarry
The purpose of the Kre8hope Stepping Stones to Art is to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to express themselves through the creation of art and also provide the artists with the opportunity to earn income from the sale of their artwork.
