We can also arrange clay and art classes for school groups which are tailored to suit your needs. We invite your educational institute to visit the Quarry Arts Centre or please contact us for more information or to discuss your requirements.
“Firebirds” Northland Potters Group
Northland Potters Group meet weekly on Friday mornings (9-12am) for anyone with an interest in clay and who enjoys the company of like-minded people. The common interest is mud so any level of experience is welcome. This studio time is perfect for bouncing ideas off one other while creating your own art piece. It costs $4 per meeting which contributes to room hire and $20 annual membership fee that covers any extra activities. A small electric kiln is available for hire though the office.

Fun for Children with Tui Taylor - Xmas special
Tui has just set up a new studio, especially for kids art classes. Tui gives after school classes, daytime, holiday classes in painting and fun craft and also themed kids parties. For really reasonable priced sessions, please contact Tui Taylor directly 021 2521343 any time or email

Classes are currently running Wednesday nights, 6-8pm until 15 Dec.
Although this clas is currently full, there will be continued classes Jan 09.

‘Rust’ - Quarry Studio Holders

Each year, the Quarry studio holders have a themed exhibition.
Their challenge is to submit some art as to how they perceive that particular theme.
