Mission
The purpose of the Kre8hope pathways to inclusion art courses is to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to express themselves through the creation of art and also provide the artists with the opportunity to earn income from the sale of their artwork.
Goals
• Assist people with disabilities to integrate into visual arts activities
• Encourage and nurture people to fulfill their ambitions through the creative process, and to pursue a career in the arts
• Increase potential of individual artists with disabilities to professionally exhibit and earn income from the sale of their work;
• Create opportunities to experiment with different media, techniques and materials
About the Program
Kre8hope at the Quarry Arts Centre provides workspace, instruction, and opportunities to explore a wide variety of media. Professional local artists are available to assist each student in exploring the creative process. Printmaking, painting, keeping a visual diary, ceramics, and professional practice are all included in the first course which begins in March 2010.The courses are designed to meet the needs of each aspiring artist.
