Sat 28th Oct 2017 until
Sun 29th Oct 2017
This hands-on workshop over two mornings is for beginners and those who have used the wheel before but need extra help and support.
Your tutor will begin with a demonstration, pointing out what you’re looking for as you go. You will learn to ‘centre’ your clay – the hardest but most important part of wheel work. Once you have conquered this, you can then start on your journey. Day two shows you how to turn your work, transforming it into something that looks like a finished piece of work. Specific tools will be supplied, and you will have the opportunity to handle and try out different techniques with them.
After the initial demonstration, you’re welcome to work at your own pace and opt out of any further demonstrations which may not apply to you.
