About this workshop
Noted Northland ceramicist and NZ Diploma (Ceramics) tutor Julie Cromwell will teach how to:
• prepare and use different clays
• explore a range of hand working methods
• joining techniques
• slab rolling and moulds
• good studio practice
• kiln firing
• using the Quarry’s ceramic facilities
Workshop runs from 10 am until 3 pm including breaks for refreshments and lunch.
Includes portions of clay and bisque kiln firing. Glazing excluded.
Suitable 16 years* and older. (* 16-17 years may join the workshop with a participating parent/guardian)
Refunds and cancellations
Workshops are held at the Quarry Arts Centre operated by the Northland Craft Trust, a registered non-profit charitable trust.
If a class is cancelled by us, a full refund will be given.
If you are unable to attend your workshop, you can reschedule to any future scheduled wheel workshop of the same type if you email us as soon as possible prior to the workshop commencement. Email email@example.com
If you are unable to find a suitable reschedule date, we will hold store credit for you. Store credit can be used for any purchase through the Northland Craft Trust including purchases through the ceramics shops, paints, workshops and the gallery. Store credit can also be used for online purchases via www.quarryarts.org. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to activate your store credit for online use.
Other refunds are at our discretion and an administration fee may be deducted. We appreciate that circumstances change, and unforeseen events happen. We will do our best to help.
