About this workshop: 
Award winning and celebrated ceramic artist Fiona Tunnicliffe, with over 30 years experience, specializes in creating captivating animal-inspired ceramic pieces enriched by meticulous application of textures, patterns and relief work.   Returning to the Quarry Arts Centre, Fiona will lead this full day workshop, guiding attendees through creating a ceramic animal form through handbuilding techniques.  Skill level required:  Confidence with clay handbuilding techniques will be an asset. But is not required.  

Workshop excludes clay, please buy or bring your own 10kg bag of clay.
Fiona will be using Atelier W 2502 – White Stoneware Grog clay

Please bring: 

·       Clay printer roller 

·       Textured roller doily or stamps 

·       Wire brush 

·       Clay knife 

·       A printed photo of the animal you would like to sculpt

·       Suitable clothing and footwear, apron 

·       Snacks, lunch and refreshments you may require   

Includes:

·       Bisque firing of your work is included within this workshop booking. Please follow the guidance of your tutor and understanding of kiln firing size. Please fill in the green bisque form provided to you. Firing volumes above the taught size may incur additional charges at the usual public kiln firing rates.

Tools are available for purchase through The Quarry Arts Centre Shop and can be pre-ordered online.
