Join us for an unforgettable experience at the Quarry Arts Centre during these Summer School Holidays! Dive into a world of creativity with our full-day program, where vibrant colours and exciting possibilities come to life. Each workshop is a journey designed to spark imagination and inspire budding artists. Our dynamic workshops will explore painting, clay and more, unleashing your child’s creativity in a fun and energetic environment. Monday 20th January 2025 program includes:
8am-9.30am – Clay Picture Frames
10am-12pm – Rainbow Radial Prints
1pm-3pm – Neon Art

For siblings or friends in the same booking that are younger/older than the recommended age range, please check in with us first before booking via email workshops@quarryarts.org
What children need to bring:
● Suitable clothes that are okay for getting a bit dirty and potentially stained
● Clothing for the weather conditions (although our main room has a heat pump)
● pack some snacks, lunch and a drink, breaks for morning tea and midday are included
Other things to know:
Parents/guardians/care-givers need to register kids on arrival and provide a designated pick-up person. Please advise us ahead of time via email of any important considerations (e.g. medical, allergies, custodial). We are unable to cater for unassisted children with special learning or behavioural support needs – we welcome support carers, but please check with us before booking.
Work made in this workshop can be underglazed in the Friday 31st January Glazing workshop.
Clay work will be fired in our kilns and available for collection late February.
Workshops are held at the Quarry Arts Centre operated by the Northland Craft Trust, a registered non-profit charitable trust.
As we don’t have a cleaner to help us out, we ask that you check with your child to ensure they have done their bit and cleaned their tools and wiped their table area when picking them up. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a tidy environment, and all cleaning tools are provided for your convenience. Thank you for helping us keep our space welcoming and pleasant for everyone!

Workshop Terms and Conditions
Reservation and Payment: Your workshop spot is confirmed only once full payment has been received. Payment must be completed before the workshop begins. We reserve the right to deny entry if the full fee has not been paid.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted up to one week before the workshop and will be refunded minus a 15% cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within seven days of the workshop.
Transfers: You are allowed to transfer your place to another person, whether by gift or sale.
Missed Classes: If you miss a class, regardless of notice, rescheduling, refunds, make-up sessions are not provided. We will do our best to offer an alternative session if possible, subject to availability.
Workshop Cancellation by Us: Should we need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, government regulations), we will attempt to reschedule or provide a full refund.
Minimum Participants: A minimum of 6 participants is required for this workshop to proceed. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop and issue a full refund if this number is not met.
By attending this Quarry Arts Centre workshop, you grant your consent for any photography or video taken that may be used for promotional purposes, both in printed materials and online (including our website and social media), internal reporting, and sharing with our generous sponsors. Your understanding and support are greatly appreciated!
