Workshop description:

Tutor Jennie Marie has worked with clay as a successful pottery artist for over 10 years. With qualifications & experience teaching youth and mental health, Jennie Marie has taught beginners pottery for over 6 years.
Over two workshops (set two weeks apart), Jennie Marie will encourage each individual to develop hand-building and glazing application skills and bring their imaginative ideas together by teaching the principles of clay to create a beautiful Ceramic Stack Totem that can stand out in the garden.
First workshop Sunday 24 November: Clay hand-building
Using raw slab clay, you will be taught how to design and sculpt round 3D and plate pieces, which will make up your vertical stack ( with steel rod ) totem.
Second workshop Sunday 8 December: Glazing
With your bisque fired clay ceramic pieces, you will paint them with brushable coloured glazes to be high-fired in the kiln.
All clay, glazes, and firings are included in the cost of the classes.
Tools required will be provided.
Please bring:

Suitable clothing and footwear, apron
-
Drink bottle, snacks, a packed morning tea
