Stanley Austin is a ceramic sculptor who explores environmental and social consciousness as themes within his work. He crafts abstract forms which he defines as non‑conformist, meditations on spirit, society, and ecology. Stanley’s formative art training was in Northland, studying at Northland Polytechnic, gaining a Bachelor of Applied Arts in 2007. Currently residing in the Henderson Valley, Auckland, he has recently produced the body of work, exhibited as ‘Reflections’ in the Yvonne Rust Gallery between 5th – 28th February 2026. This workshop is an extension of these artworks, an ode to one of his mentors Yvonne Rust, and his connection to the Quarry Art Centre.
