Description:
Casual Clay are the Quarry Arts Centre’s untutored sessions, providing access to our ceramic studio space set up with tables, Potter’s Wheels and shelf drying space for $10 (or $5 senior discount).
Casual Clay is suitable for self-directed practice and projects and only for those with clay experience. If it is your first time looking at attending Casual Clay, get in touch with us or come in and meet the Quarry Arts team at the Yvonne Rust Gallery Shop, we would love to hear about your clay making experience.

Attendees should be 18+ years old; 16 and 17 year-olds can attend if accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Each attendee must book online or pay in person through the gallery shop.
What to bring:
Users need to bring their own clay and tools.
Clay, glazes, and tools can be bought through the Quarry Art Centre, as we have supplies on site.

There are eight Potters Wheels for experienced throwers to use. Bookings to use the wheel are recommended, and for the evening session, it is essential that you book before 4pm (as the room will be locked).
Before leaving, ensure you have left a note including your name and date made with any work on the drying shelves.

The Quarry Arts Centre is operated by the Northland Craft Trust, a registered not-for-profit charitable trust.

Safety and Compliance: We are committed to ensuring your safety and enjoyment during our workshops. Please adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
Attendees must clean their table and wheels, and mop the floor space of their working area before departure. All cleaning tools are supplied.
Casual Clay attendees are expected to maintain a respectful environment. Any form of illegal activity, discrimination, or harassment will not be tolerated.
Should we need to close the workshop space and Casual Clay session due to unforeseen circumstances, we will attempt to reschedule or provide a full refund.
