He Kete Aronui

Exhibition dates - Fri 5 – Sat 27 June
Opening: Fri 5 June, 5–7pm
He Kete Aronui takes its name from one of the three baskets of knowledge in te ao Māori. This kete holds the knowledge of aroha, peace, the arts and crafts, and the wisdom gained through careful observation of the natural world. It embodies the realms of ritual, literature, and philosophy, and is often regarded as the basket of the humanities.
In this multi-disciplinary exhibition Maude Cook-Davies, Virginia Guy and Jasmine Horton explore the third basket of knowledge, he Kete Aronui. Weaving together perspectives that celebrate connection, storytelling and creativity.
