Host your own creative event
If you would like to host an exhibition, workshop or hire a venue in Whangārei for a community event, The Quarry Arts Centre in Whangārei could be a perfect fit. There are a range of spaces available for hire, for up to 60 people, and we can facilitate art activities for private groups, team-building and special events as well.
Spaces for hire at the Quarry
We’re always interested in supporting local artists and community groups that want to use our facilities for not-for-profit projects. Talk to us about your ideas. We look forward to seeing what you have in mind.
Please note that most bookings require a minimum three hour hire (including your setup/pack down).
Yvonne Rust Gallery
This is the major indoor exhibition space, refurbished in 2011. The Yvonne Rust Gallery hosts some core Quarry events each year and can be hired for solo exhibitions, group shows, and community-based projects.
Please note, the space would need to be booked approximately 6 months prior to your exhibition or event.

The Scallop Room
Bunker 2 is The Quarry Arts Centre’s smaller exhibition space measuring approx. 4x x 3m. This space is well suited for short term rentals such as exhibitions and pop-up shops. This space has great frontage visibility from the main gallery spaces.
