A compelling visual tribute to the working people of Whangārei, Whangārei @ Work draws inspiration from the iconic documentary style of Walker Evans. Artists Liam Martyn Astbury and Victoria Little capture everyday labour with dignity and grit, brought to life through the tactile process of gelli plate printing. Blending photography with hands-on printmaking, this exhibition explores the beauty in the ordinary and invites the community to engage with both the art and the process.
