Buff Raku Trachyte (BRT) - 12.5kg

Buff Raku Trachyte Clay is a workable, coarse clay ideal for large sculptural work.
Based on stoneware clays with a large amount of refractory grog and crushed trachyte. Beautiful strong plastic body, suitable for hand building and sculpture. Very highly speckled and dark in colour when fired to stoneware. Also usable at E/W and Mid Fire temperatures.
Texture Coarse. Firing range 1000-1280°C in oxidation. Goes dark under reduction.
Biscuit 1020°C minimum.
