Join us for a relaxed introduction to the potter's wheel. This workshop is intended for those who are completely new to the pottery wheel or are just curious about the wonderful world of clay. 

 You will be guided through the fundamental techniques of centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping unique bowls and vessels. The days focus is on understanding how the wheel works and getting comfortable with the process, not on making perfect pots. 

All materials and equipment will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. The course includes firing & optional glazing for up to two selected works from the day, extras can be kept at standard Quarry firing rates.

Please bring:
Suitable clothing and footwear, apron
Snacks, lunch and refreshments you may require

This class is a great opportunity as a steppingstone into our longer Quarry Arts pottery courses. Our tutor will talk about next steps and opportunities the Quarry provides.
