***This is a two-day workshop***
Join Ziah from Wing and Wild Circus in a fun day of Puppet making!
Create two of your very own hand puppet characters out of recycled materials. What will you make? A person, a king, mouse, cat, tiger, superhero, alien or a dragon? What ever you can imagine we can create!
Over the two days we will be designing and moulding the base of your puppets, shaping a head from cardboard and tape. Then we will paper machē our puppet heads.
Be sure stick around as the workshop will be followed by the wonderful Wing and Wild puppet show! From 3pm- 3.30pm
Parents, siblings and the wider community are welcome to join for the show!!
The following day we will be painting our puppets and bringing them to life with eyes, noses and mouths.
Finally you can decorate an outfit for your puppet and attach it to the head. Once the paint has dried your puppets will be ready to play and star in their own show in our mini puppet theatre! We will end with a kids improvised show in our mini puppet theatres!
Circus toys and an assortment of puppets will be available to play with throughout the entire workshop.
For siblings or friends in the same booking that are younger/older than the recommended age range, please check in with us first before booking via email programmes@quarryarts.org
