Manawa Tea Bowl Fundraiser Exhibition
Manawa Tea Bowl Fundraiser Exhibition is a stunning showcase of 58 handcrafted ceramic tea bowls by 31 artists who took part in this year’s Manawa Matariki Community Woodfiring.
Each piece was fired in the QAC Manawa kiln beneath the Matariki night sky, revealing surfaces and textures shaped by flame, ash, and time. From precise wheel-thrown forms to beautifully raw, hand-built bowls, the collection embraces the spirit of wabi-sabi — celebrating imperfection, impermanence, and the quiet beauty of natural processes.
