Join us for a relaxed introduction to the technique of coiling. A workshop designed for those who are completely new to pottery or who are curious about learning a new technique.
In this workshop you will be guided through the fundamentals of the coiling process. A slow meditative process, where you will be able to create and decorate a vase or vessel of your own design.
This is a beginner friendly workshop, perfect for those who want a fun, creative day. Embrace the asymmetrical with a hand building technique that has been used for millennia.
All materials and equipment will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. The course includes firing & optional glazing for up to two selected works from the day, extras can be kept at standard Quarry firing rates.
Please bring:
Suitable clothing and footwear, apron
Snacks, lunch and refreshments you may require
This class is a great opportunity as a steppingstone into our longer Quarry Arts pottery courses. Our tutor will talk about next steps and opportunities the Quarry provides.
